So this song is really easy, the two other tabs that are up are both right except
i like to play it with the D/F as opposed to F#M i think it sounds much better.

the intro is pretty much played throughout the whole thing except the chorus

Oh wake me please when this is over

Oh when the ice is melted away

and the hunger returns

i will be the same but older

and maybe twice the man that i thought i was

***Then the strumming begins***

G D/F
Where have you been?
    Em D C
And what have you done?
          D G
I've been under the ground
D/F Em D C
Reading prayers from this old book I found
D G
Under the ground
D/F Em
Saving it up
    D C
And spending it all
D (Here you go back to the picking pattern)

Oh where the heart beats slower and slower
To almost nothing
Almost nothing
Almost nothing

- G D/F EM D C D -

I took it for love or
At least something beautiful
Out there in the spotlight
I turned around suddenly
Turned around squinting
And saw that it was headlights
And then the truth
The truth was unbearable
Oh and iminent
Bearing down on these two shadowed animals
