• Song:

    Flower Of Scotland

  • Artist:

    Idlewild

This is a song originally written by Scottish band
The Corries, and has since been adopted as the
Scottish national anthem and national drinking song.
I heard Idlewild play it recently at the start of
their set at T in the Park here in Scotland, and the
crowd went mad, so i thought I'd tab it out as there
is no guitar tab for this song anywhere on the
internet, only a tab for the chords.

To play it like Idlewild did, just crank up the
distortion and have fun :-)

Lyrics:

O Flower of Scotland,
When will we see
Your like again,
That fought and died for,
Your wee bit Hill and Glen,
And stood against him,
Proud Edward's Army,
And sent him homeward,
Tae think again.

The Hills are bare now,
And Autumn leaves
lie thick and still,
O'er land that is lost now,
Which those so dearly held,
That stood against him,
Proud Edward's Army,
And sent him homeward,
Tae think again.

Those days are past now,
And in the past
They must remain,
But we can still rise now,
And be the nation again,
That stood against him,
Proud Edward's Army,
And sent him homeward,
Tae think again.
