Title: You Go Down Smooth
Artist: Lake Street Dive
Tuning: Standard
Contributor: Mary Thomas

This is how I play this song when jamming with friends. I primarily tabbed it from the
version they perform in "Another Day, Another Time" which is very similar to most others.
The little riff the bassist plays is at the bottom, and if you bust it out on guitar it
adds an extra layer of fun. NOTE: I play the first E chord in the "And I..." part barred
on the 4th fret to make a quick transition from C#m, and the following A and E are
played open. Enjoy!

E (intro)

E D A E
Would it be true to say that I ordered you
          D A E
Or is it you that ordered me?
         D A E
I could say you are the only one I see
             D A E
But I can't stop at two or three

   C#m E A E
And I-I-I am afraid to need you so
    D A B E
And I-I-I am too sober not to know
     A B E
That you may be my problem, not my love

E D A E
Would I be lying if I said you were too sweet
                  D A E
Though I'm quite sure you've got a bite
        D A E
I could say that you were just a special treat
               D A E
Though we both know that's not right

   C#m E A E
And I-I-I am afraid to need you so
    D A B E
And I-I-I am too sober not to know
     A B E
That you may be my problem, not my love

                   E Ab C#m B A
'Cause you go down smoo-oooo-oooo-oo-oooth

E D A E
Would it be true to say you go to my head
           D A E
Or is that sentiment too frank
E
I could say you make it sweet to go to bed
E
But then it's you that breaks the bank

   C#m E A E
And I-I-I am afraid to need you so
    D A B E
And I-I-I am too sober not to know
     A B E
That you may be my problem, not my love

                   E Ab C#m B A
'Cause you go down smoo-oooo-oooo-oo-oooth
                   E Ab C#m Bm A
'Cause you go down smoo-oooo-oooo-ooo-oooth
(guitar stops - acapella) A
'Cause you go down smoo-oooo-oooo-ooo-oooth
                   E Ab C#m Bm A
'Cause you go down smoo-oooo-oooo-ooo-oooth

E D A E
Ohhhhh would it be true would it be true ohhhh
                   D A E
You go down smooth yeah you go down smooth
                    D A E
Would it be true
E D
