Pocketful of Poetry
by Mindy Gledhill http://www.mindygledhill.com/

Verse 1:
F
I don't do well if I'm kept behind an office
C Em
desk inside it makes me lose my mind
              F
Which wanders endlessly where all the birds fly freely with their
Em G
silhouettes and perfect symmetry

Chorus:
           C
I've got a pocketful of poetry
           Am
I've got a head full of songs, a heart with wings
             F G C
You couldn't tie me down to anything and that's enough for me

Verse 2:
F
I draw doodles of eccentric faces in the
C Em
margin spaces of important papers
        F
Then I hand them in with a comedic grin
Em G
You ask if I need help, oh where do I begin?

Chorus

Bridge:
Am
People are good, loving, they tell me
F
Do as you should, all will be well they say
Em
Life is a test, please give the best answer
F
A or B or C, pick one instantly
G
What if there's so much more to me?

Chorus x3
           C
I've got a pocketful of poetry
           Am
I've got a head full of songs, a heart with wings
             F G C
You couldn't tie me down to anything and that's enough for me
