*Hey you smelly pigs. This is one of two songs currently (as of 11/25/07) posted on the
Lungs myspace. This is Wade from Alexisonfire being large and in charge on vocals and
The song is really raw and the only addition that I can hear is some keys and vocal
It kind of has that old doo-wop / misfits feel with the melody.

*The song, as far as I can tell, basically consists of a few different repetitive
This being the case, I’ll give the ‘chord’ fingerings upfront and then just do my best to
where the changes are in relation to my interpretation of the lyrics. To my ears it
like he sticks mostly to 5ths (power chords), but I’ll also put the full chords, or in this
key you can just add some open strings to the power chords and still be alright. This
helps to give some more meat if you’re going to play it by yourself.

want to talk about why Garth Brooks rules the universe, my aim handle is StephenPNolan

Tuning: E Standard (EADGBe)

‘Chords’
e|------0-| |------2-| |------4-| |--------||------7-|
B|------2-| |------4-| |------5-| |--------||------9-|
G|-2----2-| |-4----4-| |-6----6-| |-7------||-9----9-|
D|-2-or-2-| |-4-or-4-| |-6-or-6-| |-7------||-9-or-9-|
A|-0----0-| |-2----2-| |-4----4-| |-6------||-7----7-|
E|--------| |--------| |--------| |--------||--------|
   A5   A     B5   B    C#5  C#m
      E5   E

*The expanded version of the D#5 I think would be something like a diminished chord. You
look that up if you’re that hardcore.

All of the ‘power chords’ above can be altered by adding on an extra bass note or
the open B and e strings ring for variation. Example for the B5:

e|------0------------|
B|------0------------|
G|-4----4------------|
D|-4-or-4------------|
A|-2----2------------|
E|-2-----------------|

Sorry if this bores anyone, but I’m not 100% sure he only plays the straight power
so you can use whatever variation suits you.

C#5               E5                A5           B5
    E5
  Unnatural skies drift away calmly But I’m the trees of white

              E5 Eb5 C#5                     E5
before my eyes After that it gets dark rather quickly

     A5              B5               E5
This changing of the weather brings a lack of hope As my thoughts

C#5      E5      A5             B5            E5
drift away to us sitting in the south end of town

What you said that day

     C#5             B5              A5
I’ve never seen that look in his eyes before

               C#5      B5        A5
“I should have died” he said eyes fixed on the floor

I’ve never seen that look in his eyes before

               C#5       B5     A5
“I should have died” he said thinking of her

C#5             E5                           A5
  Just as soon as a light change he was smoking

       B5          E5    E5 Eb5 C#5
        E5
and laughing again Whoooaaahhhh Reminding me

                 A5            B5         E5
of years ago and telling me to never get old

**I did my best to line up the changes with the lyrics but you’ll have to fine-tune it
ear. If all of the crap above the actual chords was confusing just stick to power chords.
had to include it just in case it might help someone out even a little bit. Now go plug
your electric and thrown on some grit and make your grandmother’s boobs fall off.
