Pearl Harbor Day is a song I wrote about the last day I spent with my Dad before
he passed away suddenly early on the morning of December 8th, 2008. It means a lot
to me, so much that I've never played it for anyone. I've posted the song here as
a kind of therapeutic release. If you've stumbled upon it, I hope you enjoy playing it.

We brought down the Christmas tree

my brother Rich, my Dad and me

When laughter came so easily.

Verse 2

Pictures scattered everywhere

Hey Ma look, it's Dad with hair

Those days gone by

I thanked him for the family trips

Close to I love you from my lips

Why can't I say

just how much you mean to me

Chorus
Cdim G F
We should have gone to that parade

despite all the wind and rain
Cdim G F
Pearl Harbor Day
Cdim G F
A day that lives in infamy

that we were far too blind to see
Cdim G F
Pearl Harbor Day
Dm
Let us always remember
G
the Seventh of December
Cdim G F
Pearl Harbor Day

(repeat intro)

Verse 3

The day was done, I headed home

I did not know the hell to come

It was a lovely day

At 3 AM I got the call

Another sailor had to fall

What a fateful day

You were just sitting next to me

(Repeat Chorus)
