I am talking here of the acoustic version (the electric version closes the film and the lyrics are a bit different). I had got it all in my fingers a few days after having seen the film and before I bought the record. It is easier to play it with your fingers first and then use a mediator to get a finer sound as Neil Young did and as I did myself in the demo. When using a mediator you beat the bass and middle strings down and the treble ones you beat up. You will rapidly get the rhythm without paying to much attention to the details of the tab. The sung parts are played with simple full chords.
