Nick uses the | 076450 | E chord almost the whole way through, shifting his pinky back and
forth between the 5th and 6th string to alternate between E and B as the bass note. The
chord also has the advantage of being in close proximity to the C#m and A chords.

After the first and third line of the chorus, Nick plays three strokes of A followed by
one stroke of F#m. Use your index finger to barre the second fret and, on the fourth
stroke, place your ring finger and pinky on the fourth fret of the 4th and 5th string
while using your thumb to play the F# bass note.

E C#m
Lately when I go to steal a kiss
   E B
I feel you pulling away
   E A
I know something is amiss
            E B
But what it is, you won't say
    A
If I've done something to upset ya
   E A
Believe me, that was never my plan
     E A
But how can I fix it standing out here in the cold?
                 E
I'm a sensitive man.

     E C#m
You don't always have to speak
         E B
You can say it with a look
 E A
Even across a crowded room
       E B
I can read it like a book
      A
But other times, when there's something on your mind
 E A
Make it as plain as you can
        E A
Don't freeze me baby, I'm no dinky-doo
                 E
I'm a sensitive man.

I'm a sensitive man
         E A
You can hear that in my song

I'm a sensitive man
     F#m E
But first impressions could steer you wrong.

Sincerely, my one desire

       E A
But I can't begin 'til you let me back in

I'm a sensitive man.

I'm a sensitive man

Though first impressions might well steer you wrong.
