• Song:

    Pf Sloan

  • Artist:

    Rumer

First tab sumbitted by me so be kind...

This awesome song was written by genius songwiter Jimmy Webb about another songwriting
legend and his personal friend, PF Sloan. I don't own the copyright and no infringement
or offence is intended.

Rumer's version of PF Sloan (downloaded from itunes) is 1 note down from the below tab,
but the submitted chords are all simple to play and only includes 1 bar chord with
the key change right at the end of the tab. You could tune your guitar down if you wanted
to play along with the song, but this is right enough.

Fo the F note I play. For the G/E just play a run down of the C chord, try..

E A D G B E E A D G B E
*-3-3-2-1-1 *-2-0-0-1-3
Have fun...

Chorus
(C) (Em) (F)

Verse 1
(C) (G/E) (F) (C) (G)
I have been seeking PF Sloan, but no one knows where he has gone.
(F) (C) (G)
No one ever heard the song that voice sent wingin'
(C) (G/E) (F)
Now you might sigh and you might moan
(C) (G)
and sweat about the skin and bone
              (F) (C) (G)
and you just smile and read the rolling stone while he continued singing.
(F)
    now, listen to him singing.

Chorus

Verse 2
(C) (G/E) (F) (C) (G)
Old friend trigger up and died, now they've got him stuffed and dried.
                 (F)
You know they've tanned his hide and crucified,
           (C) (G)
now he's staring glassy eyed out through the parlour door.
(C) (G/E) (F) (C) (G)
Nixon's come and bound to stay, he's taken all my sins away.
(F) (C) (G)
I heard it on the news today, but it set my ears to ringing.
(F)
Can't you hear the people singing.

Chorus

Verse 3
(C) (G/E) (F) (C) (G)
The last time I saw PF Sloan, he was Summer burned and Winter blown.
         (F) (C) (G)
But he turned that corner all alone and he was singing.
(F)
    listen to him singin'
