Jason Mraz
Mr. A-Z

This is really a great song, my favorite off the new album, which I thought was
not the best Jason Mraz album.

played 2 times, capo on second fret, all notes relevant to that (remember that the
to the first time you play the verse is different than the second)

Chorus Outro:

Basically here he does a finger picked note progression on this chord:

e-----
b-----
g--5--
d--6--
a--6--
e--4--

He plays this into the verse for the first portion of it and it goes back like the last
instead of the 1-2-3-strum pattern, he finger picks different notes in the chord. It
out like this:

(I've written out the chords to be finger picked, not the exact notes, you can just the
softly, or, be adventurous and find a cool picking pattern that sounds good with song.)

e---------------------------------------------------|
b--------------5--5--5--5--8--8--8--8---------------|
g--5--5--5--5--6--6--6--6--9--9--9--9--8--8--8--8---|
d--6--6--6--6--6--6--6--6--9--9--9--9--9--9--9--9---|
a--6--6--6--6--4--4--4--4--7--7--7--7--9--9--9--9---|
e--4--4--4--4--------------------------7--7--7--7---|

First Ending:

e-----
b-----
g--3--
d--4--
a--4--
e--2--

Same Verse (second time):

this is where a big change occurs. The chords stay the same, but instead of picking them
the 1-2-3-strum pattern, he plays each chord, lets it ring, then plays it again, let's
ring. Take into consideration, there is a large band with a base and drums and possibly
guitar when he recorded this.

e---------------------------|
b--------5--5--8--8---------|
g--5--5--6--6--9--9--8--8---|
d--6--6--6--6--9--9--9--9---|
a--6--6--4--4--7--7--9--9---|
e--4--4--------------7--7---|

Bridge Thing:

(third verse really)

plays this first:

e--11-9-7-6--11-9-7-6---|
b-----------------------|
g-----------------------|
d-----------------------|
a-----------------------|
e-----------------------|

after this i'm not sure what he plays, when i play it, I generally just solo around with that.

I hope this helps, once again, please contact me with any suggestions, questions, and
rate this, high if it deserves it.
