You have the 7 tones: A, B, C, D, E, F, G. The ''1-4-5'' is the number of the tone. Number 1 sets the bar. If it's E-blues, then you count 5 from E (1. G is counted twice, so the 4 tone is A. Then it's tone number 5. B, so it's: E, A, B. h=hammer on b=bend ~=shake (your finger) Capo: 1st. fret Riff #1 (E) e|----------0----------------------------| b|-----------3---------------------------| G|---0-h-1-------------------------------| D|-2-------------------------------------| A|---------------------------------------| E|---------------------------------------| Riff #2 (A) e|----------5----------------------------| b|-----------8---------------------------| G|---5-h-6-------------------------------| D|-7-------------------------------------| A|---------------------------------------| E|---------------------------------------| Riff #3 (B) e|----------7----------------------------| b|-----------10--------------------------| G|---7-h-8-------------------------------| D|-9-------------------------------------| A|---------------------------------------| E|---------------------------------------| Riff #4 The chicken Scratch (The 1-4-5 rhythm keeps on going while you're playing this) e|-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-16b-----------| b|---------------------------------------| G|---------------------------------------| D|---------------------------------------| A|---------------------------------------| E|---------------------------------------| When you're done playing ''The chicken scratch'', there's a turn.around that goes like this: Riff #5 (Turn-around) e|---------------------------------------| b|---------------------------------------| G|---9-9---7-----------------------------| D|------------9--7~----------------------| A|---------------------------------------| E|---------------------------------------| When you've learned the tabs, then this is how it goes: Riff #1 x2 (E) Riff #2 x2 (A) Riff #1 x2 (E) Riff #3 x1 (B) Riff #2 x1 (A) Riff #1 x2 (E) Riff #1 x4 (E) Riff #2 x2 (A) Intro Riff #1 x2 (E) Riff #3 x1 (B) Riff #2 x1 (A) Riff #1 x3 (E) ------------------------- Riff #1 x4 (E) Riff #2 x2 (A) Verse #1 Riff #1 x2 (E) Riff #3 x1 (B) Riff #2 x1 (A) Riff #1 x1 (E) ------------------------ At this point, he's playing a solo, and there's a lot of versions of this solo, so i'm not going to put something here. this will give you a good oportunity to play a solo yourself. ------------------------ Riff #4 The chicken scratch x6 Riff #5 (Turn-around) ------------------------ Here, you just play Verse 1 3 times without the lyrics. Fade on the third one. NOTE: I listened to the song over and over, and this is my tab. It is not from any official tab books. This is how I think it goes like.
