• Song:

    Way We Get By

  • Artist:

    Spoon

A5 F5
We get high in backseats of cars
A5 F5
We break into mobile homes
A5 F5
We go to sleep to shake up you
A5 F5
And then wake up on our own

CHORUS
A5 A5
And that's the way we get by to
         F5
Way we get by
A5 A5
Aw that's, the way we get by to
         F5
Way we get by

A5 F5
We go out in stormy weather
A5 F5
We rarely practice discern
A5 F5
We make love to some with sin
A5 F5
We seek out the taciturn

CHORUS

A5 F5
And that's the way we get by
A5 F5
That's the way we get by

A5 F5
We found a new kinda dance in a magazine
A5 F5
Try it on, it's like nothin' you've ever seen
A5 F5
You sweet talk like a cop, an' you know it
A5
You bought a new bag of pot
F5
So let's make a new start

CHORUS

A5 F5
And that's the way we get by
A5 F5
That's the way we get by

Fall in love to down the streak
A5 F5
We believe in the sum of ourselves

A5 A5
And that's the way we get by to
       F5
Way we get by

A5 F5
And that's the way we get by
A5 F5
That's the way we get by

I rate this tab as a novice tab because all of these chords should be fairly
straightforward. The only chords that might be slightly confusing are F7M
and the chords that have a slash between two letters (i.e. Am/G). A major 7
chord is fairly easy to figure out, you basically take a 7 chord and play the
7th up a half step. And the root chords (Am/G) are about as straightforward as
they get. If you're playing guitar, just play the first chord (Am ). If you're
playing piano, play some form of the first chord in your right hand and some
form of the second in your left (octaves and fifths work best). And lastly,
if you're playing bass, play the second chord listed (G).
