Band: The Supervillains Song: Beaches Album: Grow Yer Own This is a great song off of the Supervillains' first album, "Grow Yer Own". It's a easy song. All together it's four chords: C, F, Fm, and G. I play the verses with a reggae rhythm (on the upbeat) on the C's and just strum the and Fm's, like they do in the song. The chorus, bridge and solo I play the same, strum the F's, and Fm's and play the C's on the upbeat. I'm pretty sure this is spot on. I could be wrong though, the guitar gets droned out the horns at a few parts, but it think it is 100% correct. But as far as I know it's the Supervillains tab out there, so deal with it. And it sounds great on the ukulele! what I figured the song out on, by the way.) Intro (Same as the verses): C- (x32010@1)C- (x32010@1)F- (133211@1)Fm (133111@1)name="chord_x32010@1">C - C- (x32010@1)F- (133211@1)Fm (133111@1)name="chord_x32010@1">C - C- (x32010@1)F- (133211@1)Fm (133111@1)Verse 1: C - C - F - Fm CSun's (x32010@1)high, so am I. (C) GWhen (320003@1)you don't have anything F (133211@1) Cthen (x32010@1)you don't have nothing to loooooose. (C) GWhen (320003@1)you don't have anything F (133211@1) Cthen (x32010@1)you don't have nothing to lose. *I like to add a little something to the last chorus/outro. I add another line of same as those above so it goes like this instead: (Fm) GCuz (320003@1)when you don't have anything, F (133211@1) Cthen (x32010@1)you don't have nothing to lose. (C) GWhen (320003@1)you don't have anything F (133211@1) Cthen (x32010@1)you don't have nothing to loooooose. (C) G (320003@1) F(keep rhythm, one measure) When you don't have anything........ C (x32010@1) Ab(let ring) then you don't have nothing to lose. (C) GWhen (320003@1)you don't have anything F (133211@1) Cthen (x32010@1)you don't have nothing to lose. You can make the vocals sound pretty cool for the 3rd line in that, and it just adds a something. That would be MY interpretation, and the chorus above it is the correct way. You'll have to practice singing along with the song a few times, because the vocals have weird rhythm at some parts, but it's not too bad. If you have any questions or email me at matt@glenwright.com. Good luck, and happy playing.
