Alright, this is BY NO MEANS supposed to be an actual representation
of what TTMOE does in the album version. I've tried to transcribe this
song to Standard Tuning, yet the artist uses an alternate tuning for
the real thing. Consequently, my version will differ from the original
recording here and there, but I've done my best for those who don't
wanna waste a lot of time tuning their guitars. So please take it for
what it is: An interpretation. No more, no less. It is still accurate
enough to play along the original version.

The strumming pattern is pretty important in this song in order to make
it sound right. Listen to the song a few times and try playing along,
I'm sure you'll get it quickly.

Even more, the D chord variations he does really make this song. TTMOE
plays around with D major, Dsus4 and Dsus2 almost anytime you see a
D chord in here, starting in the intro already. Once again, listen to
the recording to get it right. Now hit it and have fun! :)

Capo 4 (to be in key with original recording)

(Intro:) D - A - Em - D - A

       D A
Well, 'All is well in order' is what you thought you heard them say
    Em D A
and so you drifted off to see what's not in yourself
D A
Light is turning slowly will it lay out on the plains?
Em D
No more nights of what you wrote back then,
     A G D A
no relief of no rain

        D A
And so, singing songs of rivers tied to accidents within
    Em D A
and telling people lies of lions, treasures, and kings
D A
Nothing's more revealing than the dancer and the doubt
Em D A G
waving to forget what's never gone, always there, never right

A D A
In all these riots of broken sounds
                        Em
Like the last voice you heard
         A D A Em D A
then you drowned, oh lord

          D A
You know, this is wind and walls and weathered leaves and tearing sails
    Em D A
and minnows in your pockets when the rapid's on trails
D A
this is not the future but I sense it's right up there
    Em D A G
oh, just another hour, another pass, another day anywhere

A D A
In all these riots of broken sounds
                     Em
And you sleep on the track
      A D A Em D A
every night, oh lord

G
And we don't know if your treasure is safe
               A D Bm
where will you be when they find you, son?
        G
And you know they're always following me
          A D Bm
so when I get there you trust me son, and just leave,
           A A6 A7
I'll catch up

D A
This is where you're passionate of seasons and their strength
    Em D A
and this is where you breathe and walk and know they will end
D A
Light is turning slowly to the hand upon your chest
   Em D A G
so lay it on the plains where there is time, there is love, there is rest

A D A
From all these riots of broken sounds
Em
When you sleep on the track
      A D A Em D A
every night, oh lord

(Break:) G - A - A6 - G - A - A6

       G
And we don't know if your treasure is safe
               A D Bm
where will you be when they find you, son?
        G A
And you know they're always following me
                          D
I'll be the best when the silence comes.
