• Song:

    Colder Weather

  • Artist:

    Zac Brown Band

I have to give credit to the Unregistered person who submitted the best transposed
version of the song. I only have a couple things to add that go right along with the song.

*Dsus4-D means play D and strum down with your pinky on the E string (one fret
below your middle finger), then take your pinky off and strum up, back to regular D

**A6-A means play A and strum down with your pinky on the E string (on the same
fret as your others OR, if you usually barre the whole chord, just barre the E as
well, and then strum up on regular A

Both are meant to be done quickly, you'll catch on once you start playing!

Intro: G G D G G D G G D Dsus4-D A G

            G A D
She'd trade Colorado if he'd take her with him
            G A D
Closes the door before the winter lets the cold in,
    G A D A G
And wonders if her love is strong enough to make him stay,
      Em G
She's answered by the tail lights
        A G D
Shining through the window pane

Chorus:
                G D
He said I wanna see you again
        G D
But I'm stuck in colder weather
        G D
Maybe tomorrow will be better
       A (A6-A)
Can I call you then
                G D
She said you're ramblin' man
          G D
You ain't ever gonna change
          G D
You gotta gypsy soul to blame
                      A
And you were born for leavin'

     G A D
At a truck stop diner just outside of Lincoln,
    G A D
The night is black as the coffee he was drinkin',
           G A D A G
And in the waitress' eyes he sees the same 'ol light shinin',
   Em G
He thinks of Colorado
        A G D
And the girl he left behind him

Chorus:
                G D
He said I wanna see you again
        G D
But I'm stuck in colder weather
        G D
Maybe tomorrow will be better
       A (A6-A)
Can I call you then
                G D
She said you're ramblin' man
          G D
You ain't ever gonna change
          G D
You gotta gypsy soul to blame
                  A G
And you were born for leavin' (born for leavin')

Bridge:
            Em F#m
Well it's a winding road
	    Bb B B-A
When your in the lost and found
            G F#m
You're a lover I'm a runner
       A
We go 'round 'n 'round
      G D
And I love you but I leave you
        G D
I don't want you but I need you
    G D A
You know it's you who calls me back here babe

Instrumental: G G D G G D G G D Dsus4-D A

Chorus:
                G D
Oh I wanna see you again
        G D
But I'm stuck in colder weather
        G D
Maybe tomorrow will be better
       A (A6-A)
Can I call you then
                G D
Cuz I'm a ramblin' man
          G D
I ain't ever gonna change
          G D
I gotta gypsy soul to blame
                  A G
And I was born for leavin' (born for leavin')

And when I close my eyes I see you
No matter where I am
						  A
I can smell your perfume through these whispering pines
              G D
I'm with your ghost again
       G D
It's a shame about the weather
       G D
I know soon we'll be together
            A
And I can't wait till then
             G
I can't wait till then
