----------------------------------------------------------------------------- DON'T CALL IT LOVE - Girlschool ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tabbed by: Anne Drury Email: zerofret_ad@hotmail.com Date: May 30, 2005 (This tab is the transcriber's own work.) Written by: K. McAuliffe, K. Johnson Album: "Screaming Blue Murder" (1982, Bronze Records/Re-issue on Castle, 2004) Tuning: Standard Notes: ^....bend h....hammer on r....release bend hb...hold bend (hold bend while playing notes within square brackets) p....pulloff /....slide up ....slide down ~....vibrato -This tab is based on the Chris Tsangarides produced re-mix of the song, which is the version that was on the North American release of "Screaming Blue Murder". The two versions (the other being the original Nigel Gray produced version which appeared on the UK release of "SBM"), are basically the same, with the re-mix adding a harmonized guitar line, and some slight changes to the main riff, the guitar solo, and the guitar during the fade.(See note at end of tab.) -The song is in the key of F# minor. All lead guitar parts are in F# minor. -Timing: The song is in 4/4 time. The bar lines in Figure 3 and in the guitar solo indicate measures of 4/4 time. The bar lines in Figure 2 and the Fade are used to separate sections of music, and don't indicate actual timing. That rhythm part is always part of Figure 1. Figure 2 - three part harmony guitar (All 3 lines are 8 measures. The chords shown for the melody line apply to all 3 lines.) Both re-issues I'm aware of (on Dojo/1991 and on Castle/2004) are the original UK release. The re-mixed version of "Don't Call It Love" is available on the following Girlschool compilation CDs: "The Very Best Of Girlschool" (2002, Castle US) "From the Vaults" (1994, Sequel Records) "C'mon Let's Go" (1991, Marble Arch/Castle)
