I'm a huge fan of The National, but their songs are not easy to play or to cover (most them at least), neither to figure out actually :). The other chords available here are on ashow from the National and so are accurate to the way the band plays it, but it's really that much fun to play on an acoustic guitar. I just tabbed my own version in about minutes with pretty much only simple chords. The key sounds right, and I do improvise a C variations when I play it that go nicely with the song so no, it is not accurate as in same as the original, just play or fiddle around with it and tell me what you think. Enjoy! PS: the tab may miss a chord so if you feel like something is missing, it probably is :) Capo: 2nd or 3rd fret (for me, adapt depending on your voice) Tuning: standard Chords used: G: 320033 or 320003 C: 032010 C2: 030010 (don't know the name of this chord) C/E: 020010 The song with the chords: G (320003@1) C (x32010@1) C2 (x32030@1) C/E (x3111x@5) GBe (320003@1)still for a second while I try and try to pin your flowers on C (x32010@1)C2 (x32030@1)C/ENana (x3111x@5)na na GCan (320003@1)you carry my drink I have everything else CI (x32010@1)can tie my tie all by myself G (320003@1) C (x32010@1) C2 (x32030@1)C/EI'm (x3111x@5)getting tied, I'm forgetting why G (320003@1) COh (x32010@1)we're so disarming darling, everything we did believe G (320003@1) C (x32010@1) C2 (x32030@1) C/Eis (x3111x@5)diving diving diving diving off the balcony G (320003@1) C (x32010@1) C2Tired (x32030@1)and wired we ruin too easy G (320003@1) Csleep (x32010@1)in our clothes and wait for winter to leave G (320003@1) C (x32010@1) C2 (x32030@1) GHold (320003@1)ourselves together with our arms around the stereo for hours C (x32010@1) C2 (x32030@1)C/ENana (x3111x@5)na na GWhile (320003@1)it sings to itself or whatever it does Cwhen (x32010@1)it sings to itself of its long lost loves G (320003@1) C (x32010@1) C2 (x32030@1)C/EI'm (x3111x@5)getting tied, I'm forgetting why G (320003@1) C (x32010@1) C2Tired (x32030@1)and wired we ruin too easy G (320003@1) C (x32010@1) C2sleep (x32030@1)in our clothes and wait for winter to leave G (320003@1) Cbut (x32010@1)I'll be with you behind the couch when they come C2 (x32030@1) C/E (x3111x@5) G (320003@1) C (x32010@1) C/E on a different day just like this one GWe'll (320003@1)stay inside til somebody finds us Cdo (x32010@1)whatever the TV tells us G (320003@1) C (x32010@1) C2stay (x32030@1)inside our rosy-minded fuzz for days C/E G We'll stay inside til somebody finds us Cdo (x32010@1)whatever the TV tells us G (320003@1) Cstay (x32010@1)inside our rosy-minded fuzz C2 (x32030@1)C/E (x3111x@5)Gso (320003@1)worry not Call (x32010@1)things are well C2C/E Gwe'll (320003@1)be alright C (x32010@1) C2 (x32030@1) C/Ewe (x3111x@5)have our looks and perfume Gstay (320003@1)inside til somebody finds us Cdo (x32010@1)whatever the TV tells us G (320003@1) Cstay (x32010@1)inside our rosy-minded fuzz C2 (x32030@1)C/E (x3111x@5)Gso (320003@1)worry not Call (x32010@1)things are well C2C/E Gwe'll (320003@1)be alright C (x32010@1) C2 (x32030@1) Gwe (320003@1)have our looks and perfume on
