YOU'RE A MEAN ONE, MR. GRINCH from the TV show "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" almost as performed by Whirling Dervishes on "Wish It Would Snow" Transcribed by Dan Amrich (DanAmrich@aol.com) **Formatted for Courier 10** I'm taking my cues for this Dr. Seuss transcription from a great hard- rock version by a little-known band named Whirling Dervishes. Back in 1992 they released a four-song EP of holiday tunes called "Wish It Would Snow" on WM Records (PO Box 732, Cranford NJ, 07016). Here are the complete lyrics to the original song; Whirling Dervishes leave out the fourth, fifth and most of the sixth verse. They did it with power chords and so will I. Enjoy. --Dan CHORDS USED IN THIS ARRANGEMENT: G (320003@1) C (x32010@1) FBb A (x02220@1) D (xx0232@1) EbE (x43121@3)-----------------------------------------------| B -----------------------------------------------| G ----------5-----------3-----7-----7-----8------| D ----5-----5-----3-----3-----7-----7-----8------| A ----5-----3-----3-----1-----5-----5-----6------| E ----3-----------1------------------------------| G (320003@1) C (x32010@1) F (133211@1) BbYou're (x1333x@1)a mean one, Mr. Grinch, G (320003@1) A (x02220@1) DYou (xx0232@1)really are a heel.
