You could use any combination of these alternative chord shapes,
or stick to one set throughout. For variety, I like to use the open 4th string as the drone
for the earlier parts of the song, saving the bottom D until the drum break
and final choruses, hitting the bass note first, then strumming the rest of the chord,
but avoiding the 5th string on the C and Bb chords.
