My advice is to get a set of Ernie Ball Super Slinky Pinks. If you have access to an electric, all the better. Now play your power chords like this: F: 1 3 3 2 x x, no barre, just press the "E" bass string with your first finger. This is as easy as playing an E chord, believe me! The minor chords require a demi-barre, but still really easy. Your aching left hand will thank you. Fm: 1 3 3 1 x x, F#, Gb: 2 4 4 3 x x F#m, Gbm: 2 4 4 2 x x G: 3 5 5 4 x x Gm: 3 5 5 3 x x G#, Ab: 4 6 6 5 x x G#m, Abm: 4 6 6 4 x x A: 5 7 7 6 x x Am: 5 7 7 5 x x A#, Bb: 6 8 8 7 x x A#m, Bbm: 6 8 8 6 x x B: 7 9 9 8 x x Bm: 7 9 9 7 x x C: 8 10 10 9 x x Cm: 8 10 10 8 x x C#, Db: 9 11 11 10 x x C#m, Dbm: 9 11 11 9 x x D: 10 12 12 11 x x Dm: 10 12 12 10 x x D#, Eb: 11 13 13 12 x x D#m, Ebm: 11 13 13 11 x x E: 12 14 14 11 x x Em: 12 14 14 12 x x And rock it!
