Hey guys, Another SSB one here, an oldie requested by /u/annieisgreat. I hadn't actually heard this one so thanks for the recommendation! Just a few notes on this one: Tuning: Standard Intro: Wil does a picking variation of the chords listed, as long as your hand is playing the right chord it'll sound good no matter which strings you hit. DaddG: Every time he plays DaddG he does this little diddly. Strum down on the chord and up on the single notes, very simple. e|---3-2--2-0--0-2--2----------------------------------| B|---3----3----3----3----------------------------------| G|---2----2----2----2----------------------------------| D|--^0---^0---^0---^0----------------------------------| A|-----------------------------------------------------| E|-----------------------------------------------------| Chorus: When switching between the F#/G and the Em7 he does this: e|--3--------3------------------------| B|--3--------3------------------------| G|--0--------0------------------------| D|--0--------2------------------------| A|--x--------2------------------------| E|--2--3--2--0------------------------| My New Dress Up Shoes The Smith Street Band Intro: G (320003@1) Cadd9 (x32030@1) Em7 DaddG G (320003@1) Em7 Cadd9 (x32030@1) DaddG Verse 1 G (320003@1) Cadd9 (x32030@1) Em7 You told me in the beer garden that I had changed your life, I laughed at my DaddG new dress up shoes and thought, "He's a lucky guy" G (320003@1) Em7 Cadd9It (x32030@1)wasn't as hard as I thought that it would be to see your arms around his DaddG boney, boney body, G (320003@1) Cadd9 (x32030@1) Em7 And in your mother's hatchback with the windows rolled down, my dear, you DaddG were a fucking joy to be around, G (320003@1) Em7 Cadd9 (x32030@1) DaddG But if I'm gonna make anything of myself, I don't wanna do it alone, G (320003@1) Em7 Cadd9Sitting (x32030@1)behind a grey desk, staring at a whitewashed wall, tasting last DaddG night's amyl every time I talk, G (320003@1) Cadd9And (x32030@1)my brain cracks, my head slips back, my hearts skips beats for a minute Em7 DaddG and you're softly, softly telling me to just breathe in, GBreathe (320003@1)in, breathe out Cadd9 Breathe in, breathe out Em7 Breathe in, breathe out DaddG Breathe in, breathe out Chorus G (320003@1) F#/G Em7 Cadd9 If this isn't a body for true love, then I'll slowly cut it down, G (320003@1) F#/G Em7 To spend a week with a clear head and a free chest is becoming an impossible Cadd9 dream now, G (320003@1) F#/G And I've been dancing past your skinny bodies at the door of a million parties, Em7 Cadd9And (x32030@1)I burst out shivering under the night sky and Im wishing that I was warm in Gbed (320003@1)with you, G (320003@1) F#/G Wish I was warm with you, I wish I was allowed with you, Em7 Cadd9And (x32030@1)if we go away then we just come back Verse 2 Last winter everything was just so perfect, making castles in your bungalow and holding you from your parents, G (320003@1) Cadd9 (x32030@1) Em7 And no matter how it ended, I'm so glad it happened, you are an amazing DaddG person and you'll do amazing things, G (320003@1) Cadd9If (x32030@1)we go away, then we'll just come back (You'll do amazing things) Em7 DaddG If we go away, then we'll just come back (But I won't come back) G (320003@1) F#/G Em7 Cadd9 If this isn't a body for true love, then I'll slowly cut it down, G (320003@1) F#/G To spend a week with a clear head and a free chest is becoming an Em7 Cadd9impossible (x32030@1)dream now, G (320003@1) F#/G Dancing past your skinny body at the door of the party, Em7 Cadd9And (x32030@1)I burst out shivering under the night sky and Im wishing I was warm in G (320003@1) F#/G bed with you, wish that I was warm with you, I wish I was allowed with you Em7 Cadd9And (x32030@1)if we go away then we just come back Then we'll just come back, then we'll just come back Then we'll just come back, then we'll just come back (G) **Disclaimer: There is a very good chance this tab is not 100% correct and I am okay with that.
