Hey guys, this is my first chord submission to this site, and although it should be 100% accurate, feel free to correct me if you spot any errors. While the other chords here are pretty good, I felt that they could be improved upon in various areas, so here it is! Enjoy! Special chord: It's not really Gadd9, but that's what I'm going to call it for simplicity. Here's the fingering: 320005 Intro: Dsus2 D Dsus2 D Dsus2 D Dsus4 D X4 Verse 1: D Bm D G Looks like tonight, the sky is heavy G Bm D G Feels like the winds are gonna change G Bm D G Beneath my feet, the earth is ready G Bm D G I know its time for heaven's rain G D Dsus2 D It's gonna rain, yeah, yeah Pre-chorus: D Bm G Cause its living water we desire G Bm G To flood our hearts with holy fire Chorus: D Dsus2 Dsus4 D Rain down, all around the world we're singing Gadd9 G Gmaj7 G Rain down can you hear the earth is singing D Dsus2 Dsus4 D Rain down my heart is dry but still I'm singing Gadd9 G Gmaj7 G Rain down rain it down... Bridge: C G D A F C G Do not shut, do not shut, do not shut, the heavens C G D A F C G But open up, open up, open up, our hearts D (*) Rain down, all around the world we're singing G Rain down D Dsus2 D Give me strength to cross this water D Dsus4 D G Keep my feet upon your altar, rain down D Dsus2 D Give me strength to cross this water D Dsus4 D G Keep my feet, don't let me falter, rain down Outro: G (Hey,yeah, yeah) Bm A G Do not shut the heavens Bm A Bm G But open up our hearts, open up our hearts Bm A G Do not shut the heavens Bm A Bm G But open up our hearts, open up my heart (*): If playing solo, you may want to play a percussive section here, beating the heel of your palm against the guitar's top above the strings (in normal playing position) and near the bridge. This should produce a sound somewhat reminiscent of that of a kick drum, or as close as you can get on a guitar. If you don't get it from this description you can just Google it. Otherwise you can strum D or its variations in time to the music, although this is not present in most of the versions I have heard.
