You can play the solo this way as it is in the EMajor scale, as is the original version, 
but just an Octave higher. For example,
where the 0 is, you would play the 12th fret for the solo, but I don't recommend this on 
an acoustic. It is much
easier doing it this way if you want to play along with an acoustic guitar.

You can also incorporate some of the solo when playing the chords if you can
figure it out on your own.
