Mandolin bluegrass song that I wrote! I'm putting the timing subdivided with sixteenth notes as well as the picking direction with "U" and "D" it's in the key of E (which isn't really that much easy on mandolin), and it's played at 95 BPM or faster. (trill) E|-----0-2-242-0-----0-----0---0-0-2-2---2-2---2-2-2-7-4-2-0--------| A|-2h4-----------2-4---2h4-----0-0-2-------2-----------------4-2----| D|---------------------------------------------------------------6--| G|------------------------------------------------------------------| 1 e & a 2 e & a 3 e & a 4 e & a 1 e & a 2 e & a 3 e & a 4 e & a D U D U D U D U D U D U D U U D D U D U D U D U D U (trill) E|-----0-2-242-0-----0-----0---0-0-2-2---2-2---2-2-2-5-4-2-0--------| A|-2h4-----------2-4---2h4-----0-0-0-------0-----------------4-2----| D|---------------------------------------------------------------4--| G|------------------------------------------------------------------| 1 e & a 2 e & a 3 e & a 4 e & a 1 e & a 2 e & a 3 e & a 4 e & a D U D U D U D U D U D U D U U D D U D U D U D U D U I realize that when it comes to picking you're suppose to keep the D pick on the down beat and the up picking on the upbeat, but I change it up a little here and there cause it was more comfortable when I wrote it. I do this sometime when I'm doing a hammer-on, triplet, or a thirty second note trill type thing, but I always make sure to get my picking back right within a measure or so. it helps with timing.
