Now this is a weird song to tab, especially for me because I play on a 20 fret bass, but I’ll try my best to make it as easy as possible. The best way to do this song is called artificial harmonics, which is putting your right hand pointer finger on the right spot(without pressing down on the fret) and then pluck with your ring finger of the same hand. You use one hand so you have the other to push down on frets to get a different note. It’s one of those things you have to see if you don’t get it. If you’re going to learn this, there’s no better song, nice and easy. The #’s that aren’t in parenthasis are where you put your pointer finger and play with the string open, the ones in perenthasese are the fret you push down. g-20--24----28-[27(7)]-24-28-[27(7)]-24--[22(9)]-20- d--------------------------------------------------- a--------------------------------------------------- e--------------------------------------------------- g-20-24-24----28-[27(7)]-24-28----28--30--30-------- d--------------------------------------------------- a--------------------------------------------------- e--------------------------------------------------- g-28--30--30----28-24-28----[27(7)]--24--[22(9)]-20- d--------------------------------------------------- a--------------------------------------------------- e--------------------------------------------------- g-20--24-24----28-24-28---[27(7)]---24-------------- d--------------------------------------------------- a--------------------------------------------------- e--------------------------------------------------- I’m going to assume you don’t have a 30 fret bass, and tell you how this works. You put your pointer finger where the fret would be if it were actually there, you’ll have to look around for it. Use your pick-ups or stickers for markings. I learned this song by ear from Victor Wooten, his way of playing it is a lot better and more complicated, check it out though. Have fun with this one and sorry if I confused you.
