Hi all,

The greatest rocksong in this era! When I first heard this song, It didn't hit to
me straight away. It took some time to grew into it. Now i can say this is one of
the best rocksongs probably ever writtin. Especially with these great lyrics.
So I picked up my guitar to sort out the chords to this beautifull song. I'm not
very good with naming these chords, so I suggest you watch my fingersettings
carefully as they work for me. Ofcourse if you want to make some comments or
rewrite it, you are more than welcome to do so.

The outstanding intro (and bridge) looks simple, but need some exercise to play
propperly. (I'll give you the chords, you sort out the notes!) The rest of the
song the chords are pretty forward.

Playing these chords will make you understand the songstructure even better!

HAVE FUN AND ROCK ON KIDS, Danny Burgemeestre.

The official lyrics are slightly different then what Maynard sings on the
"Mer de Noms"-album. These lyrics suppose to be the

original ones. They can be found on their website: www.aperfectcircle.com

Mer de Noms

threw you the obvious and you flew
with it on your back, a name in your recollection,
thrown down among a million same.
difficult not to feel a little bit disappointed
and passed over
when i've looked right through
to see you naked and oblivious
and you don't see me.
but i threw you the obvious
just to see if there's more behind the eyes
of a fallen angel,
the eyes of a tragedy.
here i am expecting just a little bit
too much from the wounded.
but i see through it all
and see you.
so i threw you the obvious
to see what occurs behind the eyes of a fallen angel,
eyes of a tragedy.
oh well. apparently nothing.
you don't see me.
you don't see me at all.
