• Song:

    Carolina Coast

  • Artist:

Aaron West And The Roaring Twenties

I figured out these chords from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSVzvBciFiU
The timing is probably a little off, just listen to the song and you should get it.
On a lot of the C's he will go from 2-0-2 on the D string, and do the same (2-0-2) on the A string for the G's,
just make sure to listen for those.

Capo 2nd fret
Cadd4: x33010 (I'm not positive if this is the correct name for this chord)

C Cadd4
I woke up to shorebirds.
C Am G
I must be close to the sea.
C Cadd4
I walked through the parking lot,
         C Am G
felt the pavement burning my bare feet.
Dm Am
I stumble out eastward,
C G
pushed my way through the reeds.
C Cadd4
I woke up to shorebirds.
               C Am G
I dreamed about drowning at sea.

C Cadd4
I'm staring out at nothing.
C Am G
Carolina coast.
C Cadd4
I'll wade through the shallows.
 C Am G
It feels like I'm chasing your ghost.
Dm Am
I think about drowning.
C G
I'd lay down and let go.
C Cadd4
I'll see you in heaven,
        C Am G
everyone that left me alone.

C Cadd4
I reached in my pocket,
C Am G
to pull out a light.
C Cadd4
Forgot I threw out my smokes weeks ago.
C Am G
Oh I can't get it right.
Dm Am
But I found your lilies.
C G
They're dead and they're dry.
C Cadd4
I'll plant them here seaside.
      C Am G
I'll pray they come back to life.

        C Am G
You and I.
        C Am G
You and I.
        C Am G
You and I.
        C Am G
You and I.

C Cadd4
On the horizon,
C Am G
there's a boat fighting tide.
C Cadd4
All rust stained and pale blue,
    C Am G
it's nearing the end of its life.
Dm Am
But somehow it keeps floating,
C G
all banged up but alive.
C Cadd4
And I guess I feel better then.
C Am G
I won't lay down and die.

C Am G
I'm not coming home tonight, no,
C Am G
no I'm not coming home tonight, no,
C Am G
no I'm not coming home tonight,
      C Am G
without Dianne by my side, no.
