This is the main rift to the song. It sounds fine in the standard four string tuning.
The only reason you'd probably want to use the Drop D for this song is when you're
performing with other instruments just to get that "chunkier" sound over the noise.
I am working out the rest of the song at the moment, but I think it's pretty much
