BAD RELIGION - Skyscraper (Acoustic Version)

This re-worked version of the 'Recipe For Hate' song is one of the bonus tracks on 'New
Maps Of Hell'. It's played on piano without any guitar, the version is so beautiful and
haunting that i decided to play along on my acoustic.

I played in STANDARD TUNING. You can use these power chords in standard to play along
with the recording. There are little bits you can add in yourself like descending scales,
notes and stuff that will go along with the piano notes. But here are the basic chords i
figured out.

BAD RELIGION - SKYSCRAPER (Acoustic Version)

F F# C# Ab A
Come let us make bricks and burn them hard
Ab F# C# Ab
We'll build a city with a tower for the world
    C# Ab Ab Ab F#
and climb so we can reach anything we may propose
C# Ab F#
anything at all

F# Ab Ab Ab
Build me up, tear me down
       F# C#
like a skyscraper
C# C Bb Ab
Build me up, and tear down
      F F#
These joining walls
   C# Ab F#
So they can't climb at all

F F# C# Ab A
I know why you tore it down that day
Ab F# C# Ab
You thought, that if you got caught we'd all go away
       C# Ab Ab Ab F#
Like a spoiled little baby who can't come out and play
C# Ab F#
You had your revenge

F# Ab Ab Ab
Build me up, tear me down
       F# C#
like a skyscraper
C# C Bb Ab
Build me up, and tear down
      F F#
These joining walls
   C# Ab F#
So they can't climb at all

C# G7 C# - I've put G7 that means 4th fret power chord on D(4th) & G(3rd) strings (i'm
not very good at this tabbing dealie as you can tell)

     C#
Well madness reigned and paradise fell
     Ab
When Babel's walls came crashing down
        Bb
Now the echoes roar for a story writ
         F#
that was hardly understood
    C# Ab F#
and never any good

F# Ab Ab Ab
Build me up, tear me down
       F# C#
like a skyscraper
C# C Bb Ab
Build me up, and tear down
      F F#
These joining walls
   C# Ab F#
So they can't climb at all

End with a descending scale that i'm sure that you can figure out. The notes are F# F Eb
C#. I think anyway.
