The Dinosaurs by Big Green Rabbit

The Big Green Rabbit website is at http://www.biggreenrabbit.com. You can

The Dinosaurs by Big Green Rabbit is a great kid song where you can get the
kids to pretend to be dinosaurs, stomping around while playing. Playing
with Barre chords is an easy progression between the three chords and it
gives you the ability to mute the strings into "stomping" sounds. Thanks to
Mike Poor for introducing me to this song.

Intro: [ch]Bm[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch]

[ch]G[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch]
They used to walk. The used to swim. They used to fly with a toothy grin.
[ch]G[/ch] [ch]F#[/ch]
Some ate plants and some ate meat. Some walked around on just two feet.

[ch]Bm[/ch] [ch]G[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch] [ch]F#[/ch]
Oh the Dinosaurs! Big as Trees. Oh the Dinosaurs! Brains like peas.
[ch]Bm[/ch] [ch]G[/ch] [ch]F#[/ch] (resolve, let ring)
Jaws and claws and teeth and bone ... that used to growl and groan and moan.

Bridge: [ch]Bm[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch]

[ch]G[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch]
Some had feathers. Some had scales. Spikes and clubs and whip-like tails.
[ch]G[/ch] [ch]F#[/ch]
They fought like dragons. The earth sure shook. The volcanoes sizzled and the lava cooked.

[ch]Bm[/ch] [ch]G[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch] [ch]F#[/ch]
Oh the Dinosaurs! Big as Trees. Oh the Dinosaurs! Brains like peas.
[ch]Bm[/ch] [ch]G[/ch] [ch]F#[/ch] (resolve, let ring)
Jaws and claws and teeth and bone ... that used to growl and groan and moan.

Bridge: [ch]Bm[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch]

[ch]G[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch]
Tyrannosaurus Rex was a terrible king. The stegosaurus' tail could really swing.
[ch]G[/ch] [ch]F#[/ch]
Brachiosaurus liked to stomp. Trachodon would chew and chomp.

[ch]Bm[/ch] [ch]G[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch] [ch]F#[/ch]
Oh the Dinosaurs! Big as Trees. Oh the Dinosaurs! Brains like peas.
[ch]Bm[/ch] [ch]G[/ch] [ch]F#[/ch] (resolve, let ring)
Jaws and claws and teeth and bone ... that used to growl and groan and moan.

Bridge: [ch]Bm[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch]

[ch]G[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch]
They roamed the earth for a hundred million years ... without worries, cares or fears.
[ch]G[/ch] [ch]F#[/ch]
Then one day they hit the soil ... now they're fossils, gas and oil.

[ch]Bm[/ch] [ch]G[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch] [ch]F#[/ch]
Oh the Dinosaurs! Big as Trees. Oh the Dinosaurs! Brains like peas.
[ch]Bm[/ch] [ch]G[/ch] [ch]F#[/ch] (resolve, let ring)
Jaws and claws and teeth and bone ... that used to growl and groan and moan.

Bridge: [ch]Bm[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch]

[ch]Bm[/ch] [ch]G[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch] [ch]F#[/ch]
Oh the Dinosaurs! Big as Trees. Oh the Dinosaurs! Brains like peas.
[ch]Bm[/ch] [ch]G[/ch] [ch]F#[/ch] (resolve, let ring)
Jaws and claws and teeth and bone ... that used to growl and groan and moan.

[ch]G[/ch] tremolo to finish it out.
