I worked this tab out on the ukulele, since Caroline
plays it on a ukulele. So technically, this is a ukulele
tab, but I played it through on a guitar, and it sounds
okay. I will give you specifics on both, just in case.

Chords:
No capo, both uke and guitar are played open
Optionally, you can play guitar with capo on 5, only strumming strings 1-4 (bottom
4 strings), and use the chords for the ukulele.

G C Cm7 G
If we were kids again
      C Cm7 G
we'd hang out almost everyday
                C Cm7 G
Running through woods at dawn
             C Cm7 G
finding the magic in things

              C Cm7 G
You'd help me up the tree
           C Cm7 G
holding me up to the top of the branches
          C Cm7 G
Open your book to read
                C Cm7 E
the story that felt like we were already in

      C G D
Where you're the king of the apple trees
E C G D
In the orchard where I'd come to eat

G C Cm7 G
Where we'd pull the wings off bees
           C Cm7 G
To build a bed in the top of the barn
                C Cm7 G
Humming through grass we'd sing
            C Cm7 E
out in the fields with the wind in our ears

      C G D
Where nights are long and in the day
E C
you'd paint and I'd write about outer space
E C G D
Where I'm the queen of the creek
E C G D
and the banks where you come to drink

G C Cm7 G
Swimming through birch and bark
             C Cm7 G
tell you my secrets of how I can fly
                   C Cm7 G
And I'll show you how tonight
       C Cm7 E
over bread and some white wine on ice
          C G D
And I'll draw a bath and we'll cram in
E C G D
And we'll write this story as we begin

And on the bus we're still living
E C G D
in the pages of our book that we have written
E C G D
And as if the wheels have turned to wings
E C G D
Traveled back to our world filled with birch trees & broken barns
