I'm not sure about this song, I think I have most of it sort of correct but I am sure
could point it in the right direction.
Chords are easy but as always with Ezio the strum pattern is so tricky to master. If
manages to improve it I would appreciate it.

Am D
I drove past you?re town today
Am D
Though I never left the motorway

F G
When I saw the sign
F G
When I saw the sign
C
I thought about you

Am D
And I found myself so near
Am D
To someone that I hold so dear
F G
But I was strong enough to steer
F G
I was strong enough to steer
C
Around you

Am Ab
If I took the turn off for your town
C F Em
Wouldn?t be that hard to track you down
Dm Fm
Or to think of an excuse
Fm G
For me to be there

Am
I could call you first
Ab
let you make the choice
C F
Would it be enough just to hear your voice
Dm Fm
Or should I just arrive
Fm
And surprise you

Am Ab
When I drove past your town today
C F
I recalled all the things that you used to say
Dm Fm
And I wondered why I never had
Fm	G
An answer
Am Ab
When you said it was me that could not cope
C F
and I?d never trade comfort for hope
Dm
Then I did
Fm G
I could see I scared you

Am D
No but I?d never ask
Am D
We both know that I?ve got too much class
F G
When I saw the sign
F G
When I saw the sign
G C
I thought about you

Something familiar, something so Dear
F G
Something strange at the end of the day
F G
That took your thought patterns and swept them away
F G
Did you look out the window to the outskirts of town
F G
Where there?s only a road and the Sun going down
F G
Did that Sun blind your eyes so that you could not see
F G
Life passing you by at illegal speeds
F G
Did you remember something you weren?t brave enough to do
F G
Well right at that moment
			C
I thought about you
