Best played with a pick (as much as I detest picks on bass, this is a necessary evil). 
distortion, pump the low ends, and preferably Dr. round-wounds (I used hi beams, but you 
be good with lo-riders).
It's hard to get the tone identical to the recording, but if you work on equalizing it 
you'll have a nice sound.
