Hey y'all. Great song, very simple. Chords originally written for the keys, with guitar accompaniment.
I know that this has been tabbed a few times, but IMHO they're wrong, so try this one on
for size.

The whole song consists of four chords. C Bm F G. (not C Em Am G as commonly
submitted). As
always listen to the album version on "Oh my Gawd!!!" for rhythm etc. Slow and steady
burn of
intensity is key.
For authentic ending, hang on C for few, grab whatever's handy and smash some drums and
slam the
top of your piano, scream/ laugh a little bit and generally get your weird on.

4/4

Piano: C Bm F G x 4

Verse 1

C Bm F G
Sometimes I don't know what to think about the world

C Bm F G

                                                   When this

C Bm F G
guy is burnin' up in the street with gasoline

Guitar fades/ trickles in:
C Bm F G

                                                  And the

C Bm F G
flames show no mercy...

C Bm F G

Chorus:

F
Cause when you really need someone to talk to you,

F
It doesn't always work out like, its supposed to... But you can

C Bm F G
Love yer brain

C Bm F G
Even if it slips, down the drain And I said

C Bm F G
"Man, I'm not some drug addict... But a

C Bm F G
Person's gotta have something to keep 'em from going insane".

That's it.
Lather rinse repeat.

Verse 2:

Well, this man he kills this other man

Who's killed this other man, so it's okay

And this fourteen year old's sittin' in the electric chair

Smilin' and smokin' a cigarette

So I guess I was right all along readin' Mad magazine
