    Asleep at the Wheel

Ok so my name is Jorge. I watched Goot's video on
youtube so im 99.9% sure that these chords are all
right. He plays the song in the key of D# but I
transposed it to a D. So all you have to
do is put a capo on the first fret and
still use these chords. Enjoy.

       D E F#m
It's taking a lot out of me
     D E F#m
To tell you how long it will be
    D E F#m E D
Before I can spend some sweet time with you again

      D E F#m
I'm hoping I'll be finding success
       D E F#m
You know that I'll be trying my best
       D E F#m E D
The thousands of miles will not make me love you less

     A C#m D
So I'll see the world while you stay home
      A C#m D
And I'll drive these roads paved in loneliness

D F#m E
the dotted lines show us where we're supposed to go
D F#m E
We stay inside them in fear that we'll lose control
D F#m E D
the night falls and the lights they provoke a thought of you

      A C#m D
So think what you want of me
          A C#m D
I'll be falling asleep at the wheel

     B C#m D
For once in my life I can say I am right about something
       B C#m D
I've never been this positively certain I'm leaving

  E F#m
Fill me up with unleaded regular
            D
We've got five hundred miles before this night is over
      E F#m D
By this time tomorrow I'll be filling up again

      E F#m D
So think what you want of me
          E F#m D
I'll be falling asleep at the wheel

            E F#m
Trace the moment, trace the time
           D
Find the second I lost my mind
              E F#m
'cause I've been thinking for the longest time
       D
 About me and you

     A C#m D
So I'll see the world while you stay home
(I've been thinking about me and you)
      A C#m D
And I'll drive these roads paved in loneliness
(I've been thinking about me and you)

     A C#m D
So I'll see the world while you stay home
(What are we going to do?)
      A C#m D
And I'll drive these roads paved in loneliness
(What are we going to do?)

     B C#m D
For once in my life I can say I am right about something
       B C#m D
I've never been this positively certain I'm leaving
