This is the way we play it at my church, I use a light overdrive, or in some cases just the neck pickup, and a dotted eighth delay set at 112, or you can tap it out. The hardest thing about this song was the timing, and I would definitely finger pick everything until the strumming in the later part of the song. This is the rhythm part.
