On the bass, i'd say one of the funnest techniques to use is the slap pop technique. I been goin to victorwooten.com alot lately and readin those lessons. They really help alot with this technique. Well the way u get faster, (if u dont already know) is to hammer on the notes on the string you are goin to slap. I tune my bass E A D G, most people like it that way. others like to tune it down 2 steps to C G C F. However, this tuning is as good if u want to use this technique. It just doesnt sound right. So if you like that low sound just tune it to D A D G, this is good for the slap pop. any ways here is a little sumthin i made up.
