This is a cover of the Beatles original You've Got To Hide Your Love Away, Eddie Vedder played it on acoustic for the movie I Am Sam. Acoustic Standard Tuning: EADGBe The strum pattern is really simple, though the Pearl Jam cover is noticeably different from the Beatles version. Here is an example: --3---3-3-3-3-- --3---3-3-3-3-- --0---0-0-0-0-- --0---0-0-0-0-- --2---2-2-2-2-- --3---3-3-3-3-- Strum down, very brief pause, down up down up, it should all fit into a single beat (i.e. there are two, 4-beat bars to a line below, EXCEPT every other line of the verses in which is switches to 5/4 time, but that doesn't really matter, just play each chord strum pattern within each beat). Each chord letter above the lyrics should represent a beat in the song, HOWEVER don't rely on it, it's not perfect. To be more accurate with the strum patterns, listen to the Pearl Jam version, as well as the Beatles version to get a better idea of melodic pauses and beats.
