ECHOES
Pink Floyd
"Meddle"

(Waters)

This is the from the first part of the Live In Pompeii video but it
works with the CD version. Listen to either for the timing. The tuning
of the guitar is a half step up on the video I think unlike the standard
tuning on the CD. Im' not sure how David Gilmour produces the sound he
does on the intro for the Pompeii version. I know he right-hand slides
in the very beginning and just regularly plays on the guitar intro, but
you got me how he makes the sound he does. Maybe he just turns the amp
up REAL loud. Only thing i can think of.... Any problems or
corrections with it please e-mail me.

NOTE: The tablature throughout this is rough but workable. I don't play
exactly like David Gilmour but it's all very, very close. Work with it,
and make your own interpretations. The reason I love this song so much
is that you can take it anywhere you feel like going. This is a great
song to just improvise on. Also, I play the solo and "lead" parts with
a blues-like distortion, while the rest with chorus and compression.
