    Black Masks And Gasoline Acoustic

  • Artist:

    Rise Against

Disclaimer:

Chords may be slightly disloacted due to UG's formating.
I tabbed this from the Guitar Pro that is rated five stars so all cred to whoever did that.
The only thing I have changed is the breakdown
- in the real version they play only Abm, but for acoustic it fits better with a F#m.
Also added the two last lines since it makes for a better ending on acoustic.

When playing the following part right before the chorus, just slide past the G
chord when going up to Abm:

     |E |F#m	G|

Please play, enjoy and rate :-)

Black Masks and Gasoline - Rise Against

Abm E
simply because you can breathe doesn't mean you're alive,
B F#m
or that you really live,
Abm E
this life has taken its toll,
                 B F#m
she just doesn't know how much more she can give

    Abm E
But here, at the top of the world,
                 B F#m
where I raise my hands and I clench my fists,
    Abm E
they stand before me below demanding the
B F#m
answers with flips of a switch

|E	|F#m	G|

Abm F#m E
I don't understand where you got this idea,
   Abm F#m E
so deeply engrained in your head (that this world)
   Abm F#m E
is something that you must impress,
     Abm F#m E
cause I couldn't care less

|F#	G|

  Abm E
a need for revolution's rising,
                B F#m
it comes to the surface, gasping for air,
          Abm E
and we're not putting up with this planet
         B F#m
one more day, much less one more year

|E	|F#m	G|

I don't understand where you got this idea,
so deeply engrained in your head
that this world is something that you must impress,
cause I couldn't care less

Ab F#
So here and now, in our rotting nation
the blood, it pours, it's all on our hands now
we live, in fear, of our own potential
to win, to lose, it's all on our hands now

|Abm	|E	|B	|F#m	|

 Abm E
I have an american dream,
                      B F#m
but it involves black masks and gasoline,
                        Abm E
one day I'll turn these thoughts into screams,
                           B F#m
at a world that turned its back down on me

|E	|F#m	G|

I don't understand where you got this idea,
so deeply engrained in your head
that this world is something that you must impress,
cause I couldn't care less

cause I couldn't care less

cause I couldn't care less
