Chorus - First time through I fingerpick the notes kinda staccato-ish, listen to the 
record to see what I mean, second section strum for emphasis.
         In the strumming section, he doesn't always play all the notes in the chord, 
you're going to have to use your ears to match the song.
         Not 100% sure on that slur part in the fingerpicking section, but it sounds close.

Ending Lick - You can play that hammer on G as a slide on D from 5 to 7, and it kinda 
sounds like a slide on the record.
              I'm lazy and prefer the hammer so my hands are already in position for the 
final D chord.

That's it! To make this song sound really stand out you need to focus on dynamics and 
emphasis. Make those fingerpicking parts crisp.
Build up gradually into the powerful parts of the chorus.
Figure out how he does the strum parts. Have fun with it!
