That Says It All
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
By: Duncan Sheik
Album: Humming
Tuning: Standard - EADGBe
A great song with a really easy strumming pattern.  There's a bunch of variation
with the A and A7 at the end of each chorus, you can basically screw around on the
2nd fret all you want without messing up the sound.  This tab is a collection of
some others out there with a few corrections, so I'm not taking credit for the
whole thing.  Enjoy!
VERSE 1:
E                                  E7               A
Hittin' town, still dressing down, looking for some action
    E                                    E7                A
Mr. Jagger said it best, he knows you'll never get no satisfaction
        E                            E7                    A
But Mr. Dylan knows that everyone is more or less a rolling stone
        E                       E7                A
And Mr. Lennon, so quiet, knows better, or so I've been told
CHORUS:
             C#m  E
That says it all, doesn't it?
          B            A
We always want what we never get
     C#m
Well listen here my friend
        E                            B
I can't continue to pretend that it's alright
                  A            A7
'Cause that ain't right, that ain't right
VERSE 2:
I hear you're gonna make it big, rake it in with your master plan
Mr. Hendrix understood those are only castles made of sand
Mr. Wilson took some pills and I don't blame him, it's hard to be alive
Mr. Page, how he played - Mr. Drake stayed up late and made me cry
CHORUS 2:
That says it all, doesn't it?
We always want what we never get
Well listen here, my friend
I can't continue to pretend that it's alright
They've said it all, haven't they?
But what I want, what I want to say
Is listen hear my friend
I can't continue to pretend that it's alright
BRIDGE:   (same chord progression as chorus)
No matter what we get we never find our happiness - ain't that a crime?
Maybe that's why I've been told since I was six years old to compromise
But that ain't right, no that ain't right
