• Song:

    Pretty Flower

  • Artist:

    Steve Martin

I think the F#m is right although it sounds like a C#m
the bass plays the decline (D C#m B G) so that's why is sounds like the F#m is wrong

i've also tried to include the rhythm in the last line in each verse as you can see by the D D A D

CAPO 2

      D G
If I gave you pretty flowers
       D A
If I took you out to dinner
        D G
If we walked on by the river
        D D A D
Would you invite me in

      D G
If we sat down on the sofa
       D A
If I told you funny stories
      D G
If I moved a little closer
    D D A D
Would you put your hand in mine

       D F#m
If I told you, you were lovely
      B G
If I put my arms around you
       D G
If I touched you on the shoulder
             D D A D
Would you rest your head on mine

       D G
If I took you out to dinner
       D A
If I moved a little closer
       D G
And I touched you on the shoulder
       D D A D
Would you make love to me...

D G D A D

       D F#m
Oh my darling I have loved you
      B G
since you took me out to dinner
       D G
Since we walked down by the river
     D D A D

       D F#m
When you told me that you loved me
      B G
I hadnt felt so lovely
       D G
Since the day I decided
     D D A D

If we walked down by the river...
