The Mountain
by Steven Curtis Chapman & Geoff Moore

I had been looking for this song Online for days when i finally found it
else where. Since it wasn't hear at Harmony Central, I decided to copy
it down and send it here. I hope you enjoy this. I don't think it's
entirely accurate (I haven't had a chance to try it out yet) but it's a
start. Have fun!

(Capo 3) D G/D D G/D D G/D D G/D

D G/D D G/D
I wanna build a house upon this mountain

D G/D D G/D
Way up high where the peaceful waters flow

Gmaj7 Em7
To quench my thirsty soul

            D G/D D G/D
Upon the mountain

D G/D D G/D
I can see for miles upon this mountain

       D G/D D G/D
And troubles seem so small they almost disappear

        D/F# Em7
Lord, I love it here

                  D G/D D G/D
Upon on the mountain

G D/F# Em7
My faith is strengthened by all that I see

Bm7 G D/F# Em7
You make it easy for me to believe

             D G/D D G/D
Up on the mountain

                  D G/D D G/D
Oh, up on the mountain

D G/D D G/D
I would love to live upon this mountain

       D G/D D G/D
And keep the pain of living life so far away

G D/F# Em7
But, I know I can't stay

                D G/D D G/D
Oh, up on the mountain

G D/F# Em7
I said I'd go, Lord, where ever You lead

Bm7 G D/F# Em7
For where You are is where I most wanna be

            D G/E D G/B
And I can tell we're headed for the valley, Yes we are

G D/F# Em7
My faith is strengthened by all that I've seen

Bm7 A/B Bm7 G D/F# Em7
So, Lord, help me remember what You've shown me

             D G/E D G A
Up on the mountain, Yeah!

A G A A2sus A
You bring me up here on the mountain

D G A G A D
For me to rest and learn and grow

           G A A2sus A
I see the truth up on the mountain

        Em7 Bm A G A D
And I carry it to the world far below

           G A A2sus A
So, as I go down to the valley

D G A G A D
Knowin that You will go with me

             G A Bm A G D/F# Em7
This is my prayer Lord: Help me to remember what You've shown me

               D Dsus4/E D Dsus4/B D Dsus4/E D G/B G/A
Up on the mountain, Up on the mountain

           G/D D G/D
I cherish these times up on the mountain

D G/D D G/D
But I can leave this place because I know

G D/F# Em7
Someday You'll take me home

To live forever

                D Dsus4/E D Dsus4/B Dsus4/A
Upon the mountain

D Dsus4/E D Dsus4/B Dsus4/A

            D G/D D
Upon the mountain

G/D D G/D D G/D
Way up on the mountain

(repeat and fade)
