This is a really cool song, with a wicked bass line. If you haven't
already bought _Splendor Solis_ then buy it! Wow, what a CD.

"Save Me" by The Tea Party
(most of the guitar is played with a bow - cool eh?)

Key: Emin
Time sig: fast 4/4

You can play this song in standard tuning, but I think it is played in
open D (low to high: DADF#AD) on the CD - I'll tab both ways as much
as I can. It sounds nicer in open D (especially on the bridge part)
'cause you get the open strings adding harmonics.

(This might be totally wrong, but I think the bass is using dropped-D tuning
I don't own a bass - this sounds right (albeit too high) on my guitar)

Play intro, enter drums, adlib guitar for 8 bars, then enter bass
Adlib guitar for 8 more bars then start:

(Verse)
I must grieve you tonight, my love
Remain so faithfully
I must go off to war, my dear
The kings await me
I will go so far away
I will always love you, but you knew (yeah)

(Bridge)

(Verse)
I regret to tell you
Your man has died tonight
He was a brave man
He fought a brave fight
He was killed by the other side
He was killed by the other man's knives

(Chorus)
She said save me
Save me

(Verse)
Why must you love this man
He is your brother
This is easy to understand
My son, there is no other
I cannot pretend
To love this man like my father
I can not pretend
Mother there is no other

(Chorus)
She said "Save me"
Save me

(Bridge twice) (Bridge is slightly different last time)
(Solo)

(Guitar is same pitch as vocals)
Save me
Save me

(Bridge 2) (don't look for it, I haven't tabbed it :)

When there is no truth
Let's end this lie tonight
This is easy to understand
Without your best fight
But I see a new sun
Rising in the east
But I see a new sun
Rising in the east

(Chorus)
She said "Save me"
Save me
Save me
Save YOU
