            C (x32010@1) EmCan (022000@1)you not see what you've done?
F (133211@1) GYou (320003@1)gave your heart away like that.
C (x32010@1) EmI (022000@1)didn't want to fall in love,
     F (133211@1) Gwith (320003@1)anyone but you, dear.
C (x32010@1) EmI (022000@1)can still hear the song,
     F (133211@1) Gthe (320003@1)melody behind the kiss,
C (x32010@1) Emyou (022000@1)gave me, you were wrong,
      F (133211@1) GI (320003@1)was right so I walked away,
             C (x32010@1) Emand (022000@1)left you there, alone,
F (133211@1) GI (320003@1)got so tired of talking on the
C (x32010@1) Emtelephone, (022000@1) F (133211@1) Ghow (320003@1)many times would we say the words, "Good bye?"

RIFF*
       C (x32010@1) EmI (022000@1)made mistakes, and one,
F (133211@1) Gwas (320003@1)telling you that I'd be there when
C (x32010@1) Emtelling (022000@1)time (?) had come,
  F (133211@1) GI (320003@1)should have said I didn't care.
        C (x32010@1) EmAll (022000@1)the time I would have saved,
F (133211@1) GIf (320003@1)I had been less willing
     C (x32010@1) Emto (022000@1)accommodate,
      F (133211@1) Gyou'd (320003@1)been a little less likely to cry.

RIFF*

Am (x02210@1) GYou (320003@1)go back to the high life,
Am (x02210@1) Gand (320003@1)I'll go back to the low.
FI (133211@1)should have known,
GBut (320003@1)now I know.
               C (x32010@1) EmThere'll (022000@1)be no word from you,
F (133211@1) Gdescribing (320003@1)how it felt to go through
C (x32010@1) Emwhat (022000@1)I put you through
    F (133211@1) GIt (320003@1)all makes perfect sense
C (x32010@1) Emthe (022000@1)way you cut the rope
F (133211@1) Gthat (320003@1)kept you dangling from such
     C (x32010@1) Empitiful (022000@1)amounts of hope,
F (133211@1) GI (320003@1)would have cut it, too.

RIFF

I'm not much of a tab reader, I go by chords and embellish off of them. Hold the C chord
down, then pluck the A string (third fret) twice, followed by the D (second fret) once,
then the open G string, then G string, second fret (with your middle finger). Then do
the same thing in reverse, adding an optional pull-of on the D string.

End on C.
