Villagers / Becoming a Jackal

Okay yes i MAY have just copied the other version and corrected a few
chords, but who cares if it sounds good? :D I based most of the chords i
changed by the connor guy's jools holand performance, just solo guitar so
its easier to transcribe. Anyway, have fun...

Verse 1:

Am Am7/G Dadd9
  The most familiar rose
 B7 Em (Em7)
Every implement was leading to you
           C C/B G
And your homely sense of dissaray
                Dm
Never once the same
C C/B Am
Always rearranged
     Am7/G Dadd9
But things would never change
B7 Em (Em7)
In the seam between the window frame
            C C/B G
Where the jackals preyed on every soul
                          Dm
Where they tied you to a pole
C C/B G
And stripped you of your clothes

Chorus:

(G) C Bm
   I was a dreamer
Em Am Bm
   Staring out windows
G C Bm
   Out onto the main street
Em Am Bm
Cause that's where the dream goes

Verse 2:

           Am Am7/G Dadd9
And each time they found fresh meat to chew
B7 Em (Em7)
I would turn away and return to you
            C C/B G
You would offer me your unmade bed
                  Dm C
Feed me till I'm fed
        C/B Am
And read me till I'm read
     Am7/G Dadd9
But when the morning came
B7 Em (Em7)
You would catch me at the window again
        C C/B G (Riff)
In an eyes wide open sleeping state e--------------
Dm (Pause, then riff) C B------0-------
Staring into space G--0h3---3p0---
         C/B G D--------------
With no look upon my face A--------------
                                               E--------------

Chorus:

(G) C Bm
   I was a dreamer
Em Am Bm
   Staring out windows
G C Bm
   Out onto the main street
Em Am Bm
Cause that's where the dream goes

Bridge:

C C/B
And when I got older
Am Am7/G
When I grew bolder
F G7 (Riff 2)
Out onto the streets I flew e----0----0-----
Am C/B B----1----1-----
Released from your shackles G----0----0----- (didn't know how to
C (riff 2) D----0----2----- explain it...) :/
I danced with the Jackals A----3----3-----
F G7 E---------------
And learned a new way to move

Verse 3:

         Am Am7/G Dadd9
So before you take this song as truth
B7 Em (Em7)
You should wonder what I'm taking from you
        C G
How I benefit from you being here
                 Dm C
Lending me your ears
           C/B G
While I'm selling you my fears

(G) C Bm
I was a dreamer (I'm selling you my fears)
Em Am Bm
Staring out windows (I'm selling you my fears)
G C Bm
Out onto the main street (I'm selling you my fears)
Em Am Bm
Cause that's where the dream goes (I'm selling you...)

G C Bm
   I was a dreamer
Em Am Bm
   Staring out windows
G C Bm
   Out onto the main street
Em Am Bm
Cause that's where the dream goes
