One of the best songs by The Weakerthans. I'm suprised it hasn't been tabbed yet. It's
amazing song with 2 guitars, but still great with only 1. I worked hard on this and I
it's pretty accurate, so please rate it. :)

A5 E5
I count to three and grin.
                       F#5
You smile and let me in.
                       D5 A5
We sit and watch the wall you painted purple.
                       E5
Speech will spill on space.
                       F#5
Our little cups of grace.
                  D5 F#5
But pauses rattle on about the way that you cut the snow-fence,
Ab5
braved the blood,
      A5 D5 F#5 Ab5 A5
the metal of those hearts that you always end up pressing your tongue to.
          F#5 Ab5 A5 D5
How your body still remembers things you told it to forget.
          F#5 Ab5 A5
How those furious affections followed you.

A5 E5 F#5
I've got this store-bought way of saying I'm okay,
                        D5 A5
and you learned how to cry in total silence.
                     E5
We're talented and bright.
                    F#5
We're lonely and uptight.
                          D5
We've found some lovely ways to disappoint,
          F#5 Ab5 A5 D5
but the airport's always almost empty this time of the year,
          F#5 Ab5 A5
so let's go play on a baggage carousel.
F#5 Ab5 A5 D5
Set our watches forward like we're just arriving here
F#5 Ab5 A5
from a past we left in a place we knew too well.

Knew too well.

Hold on to the corners of today,
           F#5 D5
and we'll fold it up to save until it's needed.

Stand still. Let me scrub that brackish line that you got
                                D5
when something rose and then receded.

Hold on.
