Bm
Bound so close, so painful to watch
Its wet and I can't get a draw
It's weird out here on the highway at 4 a.m.
                            G Bm
There's finally a lull that wakes us up

The path gets worn by the third tree line
Oh, what a beautiful stand
I get a bucket and a lie all ready for a guy
Who plows the land
      G Bm
And refreshments for imaginary friends
            G Bm
That are so clear and safe back here

E G
Undisguised, wide open
         E G
Down the lining of the lane
E G E
I've already got an indication
         G Bm
The information's not the same

The paper lies, I cover my eyes
I've lost my nerve for planning
I find it hard to think sometimes
                                  G
To get excited about an excitable thing
                       Bm
Is harder than you'd think

And the path gets worn by the third tree line
Oh, what a beautiful stand
I get a bucket and a lie all ready for a guy
That I don't think will understand
  G Bm
Refreshments for imaginary friends
            G Bm
That are so clear and safe back here

Undisguised, wide open
Down the lining of the lane
While I've already got an indication
The information is not the same

I could've gone around the corner
                                  G Bm
On my bike to rent a movie, but I didn't
I could've gone down to the water
                         G
When I felt the rumble inside
                 Bm
Cement ship goes by
  G Bm
Inside...

Notes: Most of this song is just the Bm riff, with a G barre chord
thrown in the verse now and then, just strummed once and held. The
chorus uses normal (open) chords, and all the fancy stuff is done
by the lead guitar.
