Ok, I've only seen one vid of Tim playing this song and I don't think he actually plays an
intro, but it's fun to put in there just to make it sound a bit better, plus it's really easy.

another way to look at it...

if you number your strings from 1 to 6, your fat E string being 1 and your

little e string being 6, you would hold the following chords  G,G,Cadd9,D
as displayed above...and this would be your strumming pattern...

  G       G      Cadd9      D
135434  135434   235434   345434

so for example for the first G chord finger picking you would hold the G chord,
 and pluck the Fat E string, then the D string, B string, G string, D string, and 
the G string.
